Malaysia Day is celebrated on
16 September and is also known as 'Hari Malaysia'. On 16 September 1963, the
former British colony of Singapore and the East Malaysian states of Sabah and
Sarawak joined the Federation of Malaya to generate the Malaysian Federation.
