Day 4 August 2021: U.S.Coast Guard Day & Friendship Day
Friendship Day and U.S. Coast Guard Day are celebrated on
the same day on 4th August. Friendship day is a day of friendship when
friends promise to stick by each other’s side through thick and thin by tying a
friendship band.
The U.S. Coast Guard Day is celebrated to recognize and
appreciate the creation of the Revenue Marine on 4 August in 1790 by the
Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton.
